Man Accused Of Stalking 2 Women In Westport Arrested: Police
Police said he is accused of watching and taking pictures of the two women as they swam and sunbathed at Compo Beach.
WESTPORT, CT — A man accused of stalking two women at Compo Beach in Westport last month was arrested Thursday, according to police.
In a news release, Police Lt. Dave Wolf said two women at the beach around 2 p.m. on Aug. 25 noticed a man in a silver Jeep watching and taking pictures of them swimming and sunbathing.
The women told police they left the area due to the man's behavior making them uncomfortable and walked to a nearby restaurant, Wolf said.

The women said the man the man drove past them at least eight times and stared at them as they were walking, according to Wolf. One of the women took a picture of the Jeep's license plate and gave it to police.
Based on the car's license plate and other evidence, police identified Michael Collins, 35, of Westport, as the suspected driver.

On Thursday, Collins turned himself in at the Westport Police Department after officers obtained an arrest warrant. He was charged with two counts of third-degree stalking.
