
WESTPORT, CT — Lee Papageorge, longtime owner of Oscar's Deli and a popular fixture in Westport for years, reportedly died morning.
He closed the Main Street deli - after 42 years - one week ago, on Aug. 1, when it was announced that he had lung cancer.
The Connecticut Post reports that Papageorge was being treated at a hospital in New Haven and surrounded by his family at the time of his passing.
