Pickup Truck Fire Doused By Westport Firefighters

WESTPORT, CT — Westport firefighters extinguished a pickup truck fire Friday morning behind a restaurant off the Post Road West, according to officials.

No injuries were reported in the 11:40 a.m. blaze, which appeared to start in the engine compartment.

Two fire engines and a shift commander vehicle responded to the scene, and using what fire officials described as a 1 ¾ inch hand line, they were able to extinguish the blaze quickly.
