Pink Aid Announces New Leadership After Record-Setting Year
Breast Cancer Nonprofit Plans To Spread Even More Compassion in 2023
Pink Aid, a Connecticut-based 501c3 charity, was formed in 2011 “to provide compassionate support, critical resources and emergency financial assistance to underserved breast cancer patients and their families.”
To date, Pink Aid has granted more than $8.5 million to 47 organizations in Connecticut and on Long Island and provided compassionate support to more than 20,000 women.
Pink Aid grants provide diagnostic testing, support recovery and wellness programs, fund outreach and education and provide emergency financial assistance to breast cancer patients currently undergoing treatment. What started as a local effort serving women in Connecticut, has quickly spread - initially to Long Island, and now, to providing financial assistance to women in 39 additional states.
Pink Aid relies on its all-volunteer Board of Directors and hundreds of community members to meet its mission each year. Volunteers plan and execute fundraising initiatives throughout the year, culminating in Gala events each October in Westport, Connecticut and in Huntington, New York. Volunteers also assist in distributing funds and supplies to our grant partners as well as to individuals in need. Many of Pink Aid's volunteers have experienced breast cancer first-hand or in their family and find healing through helping and inspiring others. All with the goal of providing "compassion until there's a cure!"

At its Annual Directors Meeting, Pink Aid welcomed new Presidents, Nicole Bonn and Courtney Prussin, who will lead Pink Aid during the next two years as we continue to grow nationally. Both living in Westport, they were prior members of our Board of Directors and have served in a number of key positions. They join Diana Attner and Rosanne Cavallaro who preside over the Long Island Advisory Council.
In addition to Nicole and Courtney, Pink Aid welcomed Missy Barkin, Jeannie Kriftcher, Marria Pooyah and Stefani Schwartz, to the board. They join our four founders; Amy Gross, Amy Katz, Renee Mandis and Andrew Mitchell-Namdar and the existing 11 men and women from both sides of the Sound.
