Protest Planned Against Westport Sushi Restaurant

Two workers were fired and ordered to be reinstated to their jobs, but that allegedly hasn't happened.

WESTPORT, CT —A protest is being planned outside of Matsu Sushi after two fired chefs were reportedly not reinstated after they won a legal battle.

A judge ruled in October that Jianming Jiang and Liguo Ding were illegally fired after they refused to work a 36-hour shift and ordered they be reinstated to their positions, according to the Hour.

The National Labor Relations Board ordered on June 28 that the restaurant to rehire the two within 14 days.
