The winners include a Westport man who has won in the past and a 13-year-old girl.
Sunday's beautiful weather brought a record crowd to the 33rd annual Minute Man Race at Compo Beach. All told, nearly 1,500 runners participated and more than $45,000 was raised for local charities.
The race — which includes a 5K, 10K and Kids Fun Run — is sponsored by the Westport Young Woman's League.
The winner of the 5K men's race was Noredine Abdelfateh, a 29 year old from Norwalk. This was his first time participating in the race and he finished in 17:11. For the women's 5K race, Andi Rosenblatt, a 13-year-old girl from Weston, won in 21:54. She's a seventh grader.
