River City Slim & the Zydeco Hogs : Free Concert

Saturday, July 23, 8pm | FREE | Levitt Pavilion for the Performing ARts

River City Slim & The Zydeco Hogs bring the exuberant sounds of the steamy bayous of southwestern Louisiana to the hills of New England. The Zydeco Hogs cook up a spicy musical gumbo that combines the traditional sounds of the button accordion and washboard with a driving, syncopated beat. The Hogs turn every venue they play into a rockin' Louisiana dance party!

River City Slim & The Zydeco Hogs have appeared multiple times at the prestigious Rhythm & Roots Festival in Charlestown, RI and the huge annual Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA. Other major festivals The Hogs have been featured at include the Great Blue Heron Festival in Sherman, NY, the annual Cajun/Zydeco Music and Arts Festival in Moodus, CT, the annual Daffodil Festival at Hubbard Park in Meriden, CT, the 4th Annual Blues, Views & BBQ Festival in Westport, CT, the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in Oak Hill NY and the 9th Annual Fort Lauderdale Cajun/Zydeco Crawfish Festival in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Note: Lawn & Concession open to the public one hour before show-time. Facility is closed to public during load-in and sound-check. Picnics are welcome. The Levitt Pavilion and its perimeter is a non-smoking area. Pets are not allowed.
