Ruling Reached on Insanity Defense of Defendant in Milford Construction Worker Killing: Report

MILFORD, CT — A three-judge panel ruled Monday that Gregory Weathers was sane in March 2015 when he killed Milford resident Jose Araujo, 31, at a construction site in Bridgeport, reports the Connecticut Post.

Weathers was using an insanity defense in the killing, and with Monday's ruling he could face more than 80 years in prison.

Authorities argued that Weathers killed Araujo because he wanted Araujo's job.
