Search Underway to Fill Westport Operations Director Post Following Resignation

Dewey Loselle held the position for nearly two-and-a-half years.

WESTPORT, CT — Town Operations Director Dewey Loselle has resigned from his position, which has prompted search to fill the post, Westport First Selectman Jim Marpe announced Monday.

Loselle's resignation took effect on Friday, Nov. 18, and he held the position for nearly two-and-a-half years.

“I wish Dewey well as he pursues other interests," said Marpe in a statement. "His input, determination, work ethic, and expertise have been invaluable to the Town employees, department heads and, most importantly, to the residents of this community. In his role as Operations Manager, he worked with numerous individual Westport residents to address and resolve specific problems and concerns. I appreciate his dedication to Westport. As an example of that dedication, Dewey has indicated his desire to remain on several of the Town committees to which he was appointed as a resident and elector of Westport.”
