Staples' Henry Wynne Finishes 3rd In Class LL Cross Country Championship

Staples' junior Henry Wynne finished third Saturday in the CIAC Class LL boys cross country championships at Manchester's Wickham Park.

Wynne posted a time of (16:13), finishing three seconds behind runner-Jake Feinstein of New Canaan and 23 seconds in back of winner Connor Rog of Fairfield Prep, which took the team title. 

Completing the top five were Conard's Edward Wilson (16:14) and Fairfield Prep's Christian Alvarado (16:24).

With 81 points, the Jesuits finished well ahead of runner-up and FCIAC champion Danbury (113).

Completing the top 10 were Xavier (150), Simsbury (152) Norwich Free Academy (156), Amity (169), New Milford (177), Newtown (188), Staples (232) and Conard (263).
