Staples Players Present 'The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later' May 19-22

The play, a sequel to "The Laramie Project," is by Moisés Kaufman, Leigh Fondakowski, Greg Pierotti, Andy Paris and Stephen Belber.

WESTPORT, CT - The Staples Players will present the play "The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later" at the Staples High School Black Box Theatre May 19-22.

Performances on the 19th, 20th and 21st will be at 7:30 p.m.; the 22nd will feature a matinee at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Discounted $10 tickets for Senior Citizens are available for the matinee only. While tickets will be sold at the door 20 minutes prior to each performance, subject to availability, seating in the Black Box Theatre is limited and advance online purchases are encouraged at www.staplesplayers.com.

The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later reflects on the lasting effects of 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyoming, and the ideas and beliefs that continue to shape the nation. The play was by Moisés Kaufman, Leigh Fondakowski, Greg Pierotti, Andy Paris and Stephen Belber. The play contains mature language and subject matter that is not suitable for children.

Last spring, the Staples Players presented "The Laramie Project," and will now perform the sequel.

The Staples Players production is co-directed by David Roth and Kerry Long, with Technical Direction and Set Design by Peter DiFranco, and Costume Design by Susan Kobylinski and Kerry Long.

The show is being presented by special arrangement with DRAMATISTS PLAY SERVICE, INC., in New York City. Running time is 2 hours and 15 minutes with a 10-minute intermission.
