Staples still has three teams alive in the postseason - boys and girls lacrosse and boys volleyball.
The girls lacrosse team (15-4) hosts Glastonbury in the Class L quarterfinals on Monday (5.30 p.m.)

The boys lacrosse team (15-4), which defeated McMahon 8-4 on Saturday, will face Ridgefield in the semifinals on Wednesday at a site and time to be determined.
The boys volleyball squad (17-4) takes on Southington on Southington in the Class L semifinals at Shelton at 7 p.m.. This is a rematch of last year's state final, when Southington snapped the Wreckers' 101-match winning streak.

-- Daniel Hirschberg, the reigning Class LL state champion, has reached the third round of this year's tournament without losing a game. He will face No. 19 seed Thomas Luchars of McMahon in the third round at Hall on Monday afternoon with a quarterfinal match to follow if he wins.
Staples' Luke Foreman also has reached the third round and will take on No. 23 seed Miles Singer of Westhill.
In the team competion so far, Staples is second with 17 points, one behind Greenwich.
Two Staples' tandems have reached the quarterfinals in the doubles competition.
Jake Hirschberg-Graham Hyman, the No. 2 seeds, will take on the unseeded pair of Drew Henderson-Niton Kumar from Cheshire.
Evan Davis-Baxter Stein, who are seeded seventh, battle the top seeds, John Petrini-Brendan Pomeranz from Westhill.
