Fairfield Prep graduate and Westport native Rob Rotanz is looking to win another lacrosse national championship at Duke.
The junior scored a goal Sunday as the Blue Devils defeated Notre Dame 7-5 in a rematch of last year's title game, also won by the Blue Devils.
Duke (14-5) advanced to the championship weekend for the fifth straight season and for the seventh time overall.
The Blue Devils will play unseeded Maryland on Saturday in the semifinals at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. The Terrapins stunned top seed Syracuse 6-5 in overtime on Sunday.
Rotanz also had a goal in last week's 15-14 first-round win over Delaware.
For the season, the midfielder has 27 points on 23 goals and four assists. He is Duke's fifth-leading scorer.
-- New Canaan grabbed the final spot in the FCIAC baseball playoffs with a 5-2 win over Trumbull on Sunday.

However, since the Rams have another game against McMahon on Monday, the entire pairings won't be determined until the outcome of that contest.
St. Joseph, the No. 1 seed, will host No. 8 Greenwich on Tuesday while No. 7 Fairfield Warde visits No. 2 Danbury in the only matchups that are known so far.
