Staples 8, Trumbull 7 (10)):  Caitlin Kane delivered the winning hit in the 10th for the Wreckers, who banged out 16 hits, including two each by Sabrina Friend and Shelby Schulmann.

Baseball

Staples 11, Trumbull 5 -- Jimmy Kopack went the distance for the Wreckers, who won their 11th game.

Boys lacrosse

Staples 12, Horace Greeley (NY) 6 -- Peter Paul had four goals and Charlie Ross added three for the Wreckers.
