Street Sweeping In Westport Scheduled To Begin March 2
Crews are set to sweep 123 miles of town roadways, weather permitting.
WESTPORT, CT — The town's annual spring street sweeping efforts are scheduled to begin on March 2, weather permitting, announced Westport Public Works Director Peter Ratkiewich.
The project calls for up to three crews to sweep the town's 123 miles of roadways, and the work should be completed on all public roads by mid-July.
"Some of the work is done early in the morning in order to avoid interference with vehicles in parking lots and school buses," Ratkiewich said in a statement. "The public is asked for their cooperation and patience during the operation."
