Students, Staff Temporarily Advised Not to Drink Water from Fountains at Staples HS

Interim Principal Mark A. Karagus made the announcement Thursday.

WESTPORT, CT - Because the drinking water was temporarily discolored Thursday, Staples High School students and staff were advised not to drink from fountains and sinks until plumbers finished working on the situation.

Westport Now reports that sediment was being flushed out of the water supply, which led to the discoloration.

Interim Principal Principal Mark A. Karagus made the announcement Thursday, but not before some students reportedly complained that they were not notified in a timely manner.
