TEAM Westport Hosts Post-Election Community Meeting Sunday

TEAM Westport is the town committee focused on making Westport an increasingly welcoming community.

WESTPORT, CT — TEAM Westport will host the first of a regular series of discussions regarding issues of concern to to the community on Sunday, Jan. 8, at Saugatuck Congregational Church, 245 Post Road East.

Rev. Alison Patton, Pastor of Saugatuck Congregational Church, will be the meeting's moderator, and all are welcome and are invited to participate. The meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m.

"Please join us for a post-election conversation concerning race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and sexual identity," said TEAM Westport Chair Harold Bailey in a statement. "As 2017 begins, what concerns you? What do you wonder? Come and respectfully listen to your neighbors and share your own experiences in a community forum on Sunday, January 8."

TEAM Westport (Together Effectively Achieving Multiculturalism) is the town committee focused on making Westport an increasingly welcoming community with respect to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and sexual identity.

Bailey added, "These discussions will provide an ongoing opportunity for members of the community to discuss the topics upon which TEAM Westport is focused, in a safe forum attuned to the latest developments locally, nationally and globally."
