Teen Suspect In Westport Carjacking Violates Bond Release: Report
The 16-year-old suspect was released on bond, but is reportedly accused of violating certain terms.
WESTPORT, CT — Giovanni Lopez, the 16-year-old suspect in last month's violent carjacking incident in Westport, is back in jail, after he was accused of violating certain terms of his release on bond, reported News 12 Connecticut.
The exact terms he is accused of violating were not immediately known, but he was prohibited from using the internet, and prohibited from leaving his Waterbury home except for school, medical appointments, court hearings or church.
He is being tried as an adult, and had been released after posting bond on bail of $500,000. But now his bail has been increased to $750,000.

Lopez, and two other people who remain at-large, are accused of beating a Westport homeowner in his garage and stealing his Aston Martin convertible.
The car, and three other stolen vehicles, were found by police at an alleged "chop shop" in Berlin, the owner of which was also arrested.
