Tom Foley Visits Westport for First Selectman Marpe's Campaign Rally/Birthday

Candidate for Governor Tom Foley stopped by the Saugatuck area of Westport this afternoon to discuss the state’s business climate and to attend a birthday gathering for First Selectman Jim Marpe at Saugatuck Sweets on Riverside Avenue.

Foley met with dozens of Westport voters, including Saugatuck Sweets owners Chris and Al DiGuido, as well as State Sen.John McKinney.

Also in attendance were State Senator Toni Boucher, candidate for State Representative Brandi Briggs, candidate for State Senate Tony Hwang, and candidate for U.S. Congress Dan Debicella.

In a Quinnipiac poll released this just this morning, challenger Tom Foley and Governor Dan Malloy were tied 43-43 among likely voters.

Republican candidate for Connecticut Governor, Tom Foley, will be in Westport today Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. to attend a campaign rally / birthday celebration for Westport First Selectman Jim Marpe, hosted by the Westport Republican Town Committee.

The event is open to the public and will be held on the plaza outside Saugatuck Sweets, 575 Riverside Ave.
