Westport-based Connoisseur Media Buys Four Radio Stations

The company has agreed to buy Long Island radio stations WKJY/KJOY, WBZO-FM, WIGX-FM and WHLI–AM from Barnstable Broadcasting for $23 million.

-based is reportedly acquiring four Long Island radio stations for $23 million.

According to a report on MediaBistro, the company, which already owns 22 radio stations in eight markets, has agreed to buy stations WKJY/KJOY, WBZO-FM, WIGX-FM and WHLI–AM from Barnstable Broadcasting.

“We are so excited to have the privilege of continuing the legacy of service that Barnstable has created on Long Island," said Connoisseur Media CEO Jeffrey Warshaw. "These are great operations with terrific people. I was raised on Long Island and grew up listening to these stations.”

Providing the deal is approved, Connoisseur Media will grow to become a Top 20 market operator.
