Westport Candy & Ice Cream Shop Closes
Saugatuck Sweets was on Riverside Avenue in Westport for just over a decade.
WESTPORT, CT — Saugatuck Sweets, a candy and ice cream shop, closed its Westport store on Riverside Avenue over the weekend after more than a decade at the location.
Owners Chris and Al DiGuido said in a message to customers that the Westport shop became another casualty of the pandemic.
"In recent years due to the challenging economic conditions and Covid issues, we have determined that it is no longer financially viable for us to keep this business afloat," the DiGuidos wrote.
