Westport Democratic Town Committee Seeks New Members
"Any registered Democrat in the Town of Westport is eligible to participate in the caucus and seek endorsement to serve on the DTC."
WESTPORT, CT — The Westport Democratic Town Committee is seeking new members and volunteers for the upcoming 2020 election, according to an email from the group to local residents.
"Every two years, prospective members of the Westport Democratic Town Committee (DTC) are endorsed at a town-wide Democratic caucus in the month of January," the email reads. "Any registered Democrat in the Town of Westport is eligible to participate in the caucus and seek endorsement to serve on the DTC. Up to 70 Democrats, organized by RTM district, may serve on the DTC for a two-year term beginning in 2020."
Among the accomplishments the party hopes to achieve include "nominating, promoting and supporting Democratic candidates for office for municipal, district, state and national elective public office."

Bylaws require local DTC members to attend a certain number of meetings and social events, commit to volunteering for some events or initiatives and join at least one DTC sub-committee, among other requirements.
