Westport Firefighters Honor U.S. Troops on July 4th

Westport, CT - Members of the Westport Fire Department's Platoon 1 recently wore traditional military green fire t-shirts to honor the patriotism of military veterans.

The firefighters posed for a photo to mark the occasion, and sent it out to area media on July 4th.

"The Westport Fire Department has many members who are serving, or have served, in various branches of our Government protecting us both here and throughout the world," wrote Assistant Fire Chief Kenneth Lombardi in a statement. "The Westport Fire Department asks all citizens to remember in your thoughts and prayers your public servants this 4th of July."
