The 5K is expected to conclude by approximately 10:30 a.m. Although no road closures will occur while the run is traveling through town, residents and motorists may experience some minor traffic delays associated with the event, according to police.
"Please alter any travel plans accordingly, allowing extra time for any possible delays, and/or seek alternate routes around the area wherever possible," Lieutenant Anthony Prezioso said in a release. "The police department also asks motorists travelling to destinations in the immediate vicinity and/or through the area during the hours of the event to drive carefully and be mindful of traffic control personnel. Participants in the event have been limited to 200 in total and...it is not expected that the event will approach its capacity."

The eleventh annual Great Duck Race event is set to take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., during which attendees can watch thousands of rubber ducks "race" down the Saugatuck River for a chance to win prizes.
"The Duck Race event itself will again be held within Parker Harding Plaza and will necessitate a reconfiguration of the normal traffic flow through the lot in order to accommodate the attractions," Prezioso said. "Officers will be on hand to assist with traffic flow, however motorists should expect increased pedestrian traffic as well as traffic delays associated with the event in the downtown area throughout the morning and afternoon."
