Westport Group, Fairfield Eatery Serve Meals To 1st Responders
"Food for the Front Lines" and Flipside Burgers & Bar teamed up to serve meals to front line healthcare workers combating the coronavirus.

From Food for the Front Lines: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, CT —Many restaurants across the state are doing their part to help feed exhausted healthcare workers and first responders who are risking their lives to keep us safe during this unprecedented coronavirus outbreak.
Friday night, in coordination with "Food for the Front lines" and Bread & Butter Marketing, award winning Fairfield-based gourmet burger restaurant, Flipside Burgers & Bar, is stepping up to deliver 100 meals to doctors and nurses working around the clock at Bridgeport Hospital.
Located at 1125 Post Road, Flipside is known for its best-selling Mac ‘n Cheeseburger (sirloin topped with house-made Mac ‘n cheese, bacon, American cheese, fresh pico and cheese sauce) and family friendly dining atmosphere. Flipside has been cooking up delicious, fresh, quality food and serving drinks out of its Fairfield location for more than a decade.

"We are happy to do what we do best and cook great meals for these courageous health care workers who are doing so much for our community in this time of serious need," said Mike Baffa, owner of Flipside Burgers & Bar. "All of us at Flipside are honored to be able to play a small role in helping these brave people who are risking their lives to enjoy a prepared meal
and take a minute to collect themselves before they go back to saving lives."
Food for the Front Lines is a grass roots organization created by Westport resident Nicole Straight and her daughter Emma that provides healthcare workers on the front lines of the pandemic with meals, while providing more than 35 area restaurants with large orders to fill.

The effort is serving hospitals in Bridgeport, Stamford, Greenwich, Trumbull, Norwalk and Danbury, and has recently expanded to include Greater Hartford, New Haven, and Litchfield Counties.
