Westport Man, 25, Suspected of Driving While High on Heroin: Police

The incident occurred Tuesday on the Sherwood Island Connector, cops say.

Westport, CT - A 25-year-old Westport man was stopped by police on the Sherwood Island Connector Tuesday, June 21, allegedly for speeding, and officers discovered heroin in his possession.

Officers stopped Remington Woodhull, and while speaking with him they saw he allegedly had track marks on his arms and was behaving strangely.

"Based on the officer's [sic] training and experience, they believed he recently used heroin," police wrote in a statement. "Officers asked Woodhull to open his wallet and he complied. Officers located 2 bags of heroin which tested positive."

Woodhull was arrested and charged with Possession Controlled Substance and Possession Drug Paraphernalia. He was released after posting a $1,000.00 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on June 28.
