Westport Probate Judge Receives Area Bar Association Honor

WESTPORT, CT — Lisa Wexler has been named the 2023 Liberty Bell Award recipient by the GBBA (Greater Bridgeport Bar Association). She will receive the award at the GBBA’s annual Law Day event on May 1st, 2023. GBBA President, Etan Hirsch, GBBA Executive Director, Cindy Nigro, and Law Day Committee Chair, Kyle LaBuff joined Lisa on her daily radio broadcast this morning to talk about what Law Day is, the mission of the GBBA, and why Lisa was chosen to receive The Liberty Bell Award.

The Liberty Bell Award is given to an individual who “is really good at providing services to our community, for betterment of our community, and has demonstrated over time a desire to serve our community vis a vis rule of law,” said Etan Hirsch.

“I’m very grateful to receive this distinguished award. I try every day to promote respect for the rule of law and encourage civic engagement. It’s the cornerstone of my mission as a talk radio host and a primary value I bring to my role as Probate Judge. Thank you very, very much to the GBBA for this honor,” said Lisa Wexler.

“You really demonstrate that. In person quietly. Loudly, when you need to inspire people and that’s one of the main reasons why you were chosen,” said Cindy Nigro.

The GBBA Law Day event will be on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 12:45PM to 2PM at the Bridgeport Courthouse, 1061 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT.
