Westport P&Z Makes Affordable Housing Decision

The commission made its decision on an affordable housing project proposed for Wilton Road.

Westport’s Planning and Zoning Commission denied an application for a proposed 48-unit housing complex on Wilton Road near an already busy intersection.

The vote was unanimous, according to Westport Now.

The housing project was classified as 8-30 g, which allows developers to override local zoning laws if the municipality has less than 10 percent of its housing stock that is affordable.
