Westport's Kirk Massie finished tied for 13th at the AJGA Lessings Classic in Sparta, N.J.

The recent Staples graduate, who is headed to Lafayette College in the fall, carded a final-round 75 for a 54-hole total of 11-over par 221.

Peter Kim of Metuchen,N.J., carded a final-round 66 to finish at 1-over 209 and post a one-shot win over Alexander Hicks of Cape May Court House, N.J.

Farmington's Zach Zaback, the second-round leader, signed for a final-round 75 to slip to seventh at 214.  Greenwich's Stephen Pastore tied for 17th at 223 after a final-round 76.

The Lessing's AJGA Classic is a 54-hole stroke play event conducted by the American Junior Golf Association at SkyView Golf Club.

The seventh annual Connecticut Challenge bike ride is set for Saturday in Westport.

The race, which begins at 8 a.m. at the Fairfield County Hunt Club, helps raise funds for cancer survivors. Riders choose between 10, 25, 50, 75 and 100 mile rides.

The CT Challenge empowers cancer survivors to live longer, happier, healthier lives by creating and funding programs, offering credible resources, and building a community of support.  Since 2005, more than $5 million has been raised to benefit programs for cancer survivors.
