The shorthanded Staples girls soccer team suffered its first loss of the season Monday with a 4-0 setback at Danbury.
Coach Nicole Ross shuffled the starting lineup to compensate for injuries and illness and the Wreckers actually controlled play early but couldn't convert their opportunities.
