The Wreckers, who were seeded 29th, finished the season at 9-11.

Windsor avoided an early upset for the second straight year. Last year, it was stunned by Xavier 69-58 in the second round as a top seed after receiving a first-round bye.

Also on Tuesday, the Staples-Weston-Shelton boys hockey team suffered a 4-3 loss to No. 7 seed in the first round of the Division II state tournament.

The Wreckers, who endured a 10-game losing streak after a 6-1 start due to a plethora of injuries, finished the season at 9-12.
