An announcement from the Westport town government website:

While there is no immediate risk for Ebola in the area at this time, Westport Town administrators, emergency personnel and school officials report that all first responders are fully trained on updated Centers for Disease Control (CDC) response protocol. Citizens who have questions or concerns about the virus are encouraged to visitwww.CDC.gov to learn more.

First Selectman Jim Marpe and Westport Emergency Operations Personnel including Fire Chief Andrew Kingsbury, Police Chief Dale Call, EMS Deputy Director Marc Hartog and Westport Weston Health District Director Mark Cooper are receiving daily updates from the CDC on the necessary and best practices which will be followed should the need arise.

Per the CDC, the general population is not at risk for contracting the Ebola virus.
