The assault and theft of the Aston Martin occurred Sunday afternoon on Bayberry Lane, according to Westport police. UPDATE

WESTPORT, CT — A pair of assailants attacked a Westport man in his garage on Sunday afternoon, beat him and stole his Aston Martin car, according to Westport Police, who released surveillance video of the incident (see below).
Authorities believe the victim may have been "targeted and followed" back to his Bayberry Lane home. He suffered minor injuries in the carjacking, but did not require medical treatment.
"There have been no significant developments in the investigation as of this writing," said Westport Police Lt. Eric Woods in a statement Monday. "The Aston Martin has not been recovered and there have been no arrests."

The theft occurred at about 3:50 p.m. as the victim was returning home on pulling into his garage.
"The suspects assaulted the complainant while they were seated in the vehicle and subsequently stole their blue Aston Martin after forcibly removing the victim," Woods said. "It is believed that the suspects arrived at the residence in a dark blue BMW, as this vehicle was seen fleeing with the stolen vehicle."

Police sent out bulletins about the carjacking to neighboring towns and Connecticut State Police, and the vehicles were reportedly last seen traveling north on Route 8.
The dark blue BMW that was involved was later reported stolen from Norwalk, according to Woods.
The Westport Police Detective Bureau is actively investigating the incident, and anyone with information is urged to contact the department at 203-341-6080.
Due to the premise that the victim was likely followed home, authorities are warning residents to be careful.
"Therefore, Westport Police are encouraging residents to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious behavior to 911," Wood said.
