Westport's Amazon Fresh Store Seeks To Add Language To Sign: Report

WESTPORT, CT — The Amazon Fresh store going into the former Barnes & Noble on the Post Road East in Westport is poised to add the words "grocery store" to its sign, reported The Hour.

Not everyone immediately knows what Amazon Fresh is, according to representatives of the food establishment, so adding "grocery store" will help.

The store received approval for its sign this summer, but adding the additional words required another approval, even though the addition will not change the overall sign.

When the Westport store will open has not been announced, but it was thought to be sometime in 2022. It will join a Brookfield Amazon Fresh as the chain's first two Connecticut locations.
