Westport's Greens Farms Academy to Add Sports Facility

The school, located on Beachside Avenue, will build it in phases.

WESTPORT, CT - Greens Farms Academy last week won Planning and Zoning Commission approval to build a 16,000-square-foot sports facility at its Beachside Avenue campus.

The school plans to the build the complex in two phases, each measuring 8,000 square feet, reports the Westport News.

In the first phase, the school will a building to house a half-dozen squash courts. The second phase will hold a field house and locker room facilities.

Some aspects of the school's application were not completed prior to the P&Z's approval, such as a report on the structure's septic system, due to delays at the state Department of Environmental and Energy Protection, according to representatives of the school.
