Woman Injured When Tree Falls On Merritt Parkway In Westport: CSP
Three vehicles were involved in a crash that resulted from the downed tree, according to Connecticut State Police.

WESTPORT, CT — A 56-year-old Westport woman was injured Monday afternoon when a tree fell on her vehicle and another one on the Merritt Parkway, according to Connecticut State Police.
The crash, which involved a third vehicle, occurred at about 2:50 p.m. on the southbound side near Exit 42.
State police said that three vehicles were traveling in sequential order south on the Merritt, when the tree fell from the shoulder and struck the first two vehicles. The third vehicle then struck the fallen tree.

The Westport driver was taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment, and her vehicle, a 2016 Toyota Sienna, "sustained disabling front end damage," in addition to damage to its roof.
The other two drivers, a 59-year-old Westport man and a 48-year-old Milford man, suffered minor injuries but did not require hospitalization, according to state police.
