Another Power Outage in Wethersfield

Power was out Wednesday morning.

WETHERSFIELD, CT - A tree that came down on some wires in New Britain knocked out power for 412 Eversource Energy customers in four towns Wednesday morning, including Wethersfield, an official for the utility said.

The tree fell on Corbin Avenue in New Britain, Eversource spokesman Mitch Gross said. Power went out in New Britain, Wethersfield, Berlin and Kensington as a result, he said.

In the case of Wethersfield, 171 customers had no electricity Wednesday morning, he said.

It was the second outage in Wethersfield in two days.

Eversource crews were able to restore power by 8:54 a.m., Gross said.
