Historic New Haven Pizzeria Plans Wethersfield Expansion
The expansion marks the first of this restaurant opening in the Hartford area.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Legendary New Haven restaurant Sally's Apizza is developing a location in Wethersfield, The Hartford Courant reported. The new restaurant is slated to be at 1178 Silas Deane Highway, at the site of the Borden Luxury Apartments, which opened in 2020.
The restaurant will mark the first Sally's in the Hartford area. The pizzeria also has plans to expand in Stamford and Norwalk.
Further expansion in the Hartford area is possible, with the company in "active discussions" about adding more restaurants, The Hartford Courant reported.

For the Stamford location, Sally's is assuring long-time fans and newcomers that the pizza at the will hold true to its roots. The same recipes, ingredients and techniques that made Sally's a household name in New Haven will be used.
Sally's has consistently been ranked as one of the best pizzerias in the state and the country. It landed number eight on the Daily Meal's list of best pizza in America for 2017. Fellow New Haven pizzerias Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana and Modern Apizza ranked number one and three respectively.
