• Racist Graffiti Found Throughout Wethersfield: Police (patch.com) — Residents in Wethersfield are being urged to share any surveillance or doorbell video after racist and offensive graffiti was spray-painted on vehicles, fences, street signs, and other town property south of Maple Street. Police say the vandalism happened overnight between Sept. 19 and 20 and emphasize that the hateful messages do not reflect the town's values as they work to identify those responsible.
   

• Record diesel prices push up food costs at Wethersfield farm (wfsb.com) — Anderson Farms in Wethersfield is raising produce prices after diesel costs climbed to about $6.50 a gallon, doubling their fuel bill and squeezing operations. The farm chose to keep workers employed, instead passing some of the higher fuel costs into wholesale and retail prices that Wethersfield shoppers and nearby markets now feel.
   

• Traffic Signal Equipment Replacement in Hartford and Surrounding Towns (news-usa.today) — Wethersfield drivers can expect traffic signal equipment at select intersections to be replaced as part of a broader CTDOT modernization project across several towns. The upgrades aim to cut outages and improve traffic flow, though residents and nearby businesses should also anticipate temporary construction zones and shifting traffic patterns while the new hardware is installed.
