State Police: Uncleared Car Roofs Can Be Costly, Dangerous
State police were reminding motorists to clear off their cars and trucks after a snowstorm.

State police on Thursday were reminding motorists how expensive it is to get caught not cleaning snow off a vehicle.

The fine for uncleared vehicles — hood, roof, trunk — is $120.
The fine for an obstructed windshield is $92.

State police also said it can be dangerous. The windshields of trailing cars have been broken by snow and ice flying off the car in front, state police said.
