Victims ID'd In Wethersfield Crash That Killed 2
State police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run crash that killed two pedestrians and injured two others.
WETHERSFIELD, CT — Police are searching for a driver in a hit-and-run accident that killed two people and injured two others. The wreck occurred on Interstate 91 northbound near Exit 27 at 4:06 a.m. Sunday, and shut down the highway for several hours.
The accident occurred when the SUV was traveling north in the left lane, according to state police. The four pedestrians, involved in a previous crash, were outside of the car in the left lane. The pedestrians were hit by the car, which fled the scene.
Alberto Gonzalez Jr., 47, of 161 Conrad Road in Marlborough, MA, and Kariel Torres, 25, of 28 Oak St. in Clinton, MA, died in the crash, according to state police. Two others suffered minor injuries and were transported to Hartford Hospital.

Police are searching for the car in the crash which is described as a blue 2002-2004 Honda CRV with a spare tire on its rear trunk door. The car sustained damage on its left side including a damaged left side headlight assembly, damage to its front left wheel, and damage on the left side lower rocker panel.
