WDS Museum Receives CARES Act Humanities Relief Grant

Connecticut Humanities has awarded the Webb-Deane-Stevens (WDS) Museum a $10,000 CARES Act Humanities Relief Grant. The grant funds will be used to defray financial losses incurred during the museum’s extended closure due to COVID-19. Funding for the grant was by the Connecticut Humanities Fund made possible by the Connecticut General Assembly.

“We are grateful to Connecticut Humanities for its continued, critical support, especially during these challenging times,” says Cynthia Riccio, acting co-director at WDS. “This funding strengthens our work in preserving one of Connecticut’s historic treasures and developing valuable public programming.”

The CARES Act Humanities Relief Grant was made possible with funding provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act economic stabilization plan.
