Wethersfield Man, Already Sentenced for Sexual Assault, Arrested After Breaking Parole: State Police

He was picked up by state police in eastern Connecticut.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A Wethersfield man previously sentenced for sexual assault broke his parole and was taken into custody on Monday night in eastern Connecticut, state police said.

At about 7 p.m. on Monday, members of the Troop D Quality of Life Task Force learned about an active arrest warrant for Stanton Brown, 28, of Wolcott Hill Road, Wethersfield, state police said.

The warrant was issued after Brown had "absconded from the Connecticut Department of Corrections
Parole Division," state police said.

Brown was serving a sentence of three years in jail and five years of special probation for second-degree sexual assault in a case involving a victim between 13 and 15 years old, state police said.

"Using unconventional techniques," Troopers were able to track Brown to a home on Morin Avenue in Danielson and place Brown under arrest without incident, state police said. Brown was transported to the Troop D barracks and detained until parole officers arrived and took custody of him, state police said.
