WETHERSFIELD, CT — Local police have now identified the two people killed last Saturday in a two-vehicle, head-on crash in Wethersfield. Citing the Wethersfield Police Department, <a href="https://www.wfsb.com/2023/11/25/serious-crash-closes-part-silas-deane-highway/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">WFSB Channel 3</a> reported Friday the victims were Middlebury resident Christina Demirs, 55, and Wethersfield resident Jerry Kapij, 76. The accident was on the busy Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield on Saturday. According to police, the collision happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. near 1293 Silas Deane Highway and involved two cars.
