Adam Broderick's annual event to benefit Alzheimer's Caregivers
Adam Broderick Salon & Spa in Partnership with the Alzheimer's Association to Host the Second Annual Event to Benefit Alzheimer's Caregivers

In honor of National Family Caregiver Month, the Adam Broderick Salon and Spa, located at 89 Danbury Road in Ridgefield, will be hosting the Second Annual Caregiver Appreciation Event in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter. The event will take place on the evening of Friday, November 7, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
“I made a commitment to be part of the community in a significant way, to reach out and be a catalyst to the organizations helping to improve people’s lives,” said the owner of the salon Adam Broderick. With the Ridgefield community coming together, they will be able to work and honor Alzheimer’s caregivers in the best way. “The community has been very good to us here at the Ridgefield Salon, and I want to give back whatever I can to the community.”
This years’ event, along with desserts, wine and mingling with other caregivers will feature a talk and book signing from Reverend Jim Solomon and Dr. David Davis, contributing authors from the Chicken Soup for the Soul book - Living with Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias. All caregivers will receive a free copy of the book. “Due to the success of this event we have added a second location serving the greater Hartford area,” says Eleonora Tornatore-Mikesh, President and CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association, CT Chapter, this is truly a community event not possible without our sponsors, AARP, Brookdale Senior Living Solutions, Compass Care, The Greens at Cannondale, Meadow Ridge and Ridgefield Crossings.”

The Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter estimates there are 176,000 caregivers for people with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia in Connecticut. The caregivers give more than 200,000 hours of unpaid care each year to family members, friends and colleagues. If paid, this care would be worth more than $2 million.
Caregivers may bring one guest to the event. Parking is available in the front and back of the salon. For a personal invitation to the event, please RSVP by Friday, November 4th to reserve a space. Please call 860-828-2828 or email nbeaucar@alz.org for more information.
