The topic for the day:&nbsp;What Do You Worship? Unitarian Universalists often use the word "worship" to describe what happens on Sunday mornings. If many UUs reject traditional religion, why do they hold on to the word "worship"...and more importantly, what exactly are they worshipping?Adam Lawrence Dyer is currently completing a Ph.D. in Modern and Contemporary Religious Thought at the University of Virginia where his research focus is equity, embodiment and liberal religion.&nbsp;&nbsp;He received his BA from Princeton University and his M.Div. from the Pacific School of Religion where he earned the Certificate in Sexuality and Religion and was recognized with the Paul Wesley Yinger Preaching Award.&nbsp;From 2017 to 2022, he was the lead minister at First Parish in Cambridge, and the Unitarian Universalist chaplain at Harvard University and is the author of a collection of meditations on blackness and liberal religion titled Love Beyond God(2016).&nbsp;Click <a href="https://uuwestport.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/OOS_5-24-26.pdf" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">HERE</a> for the Order of Service. Please note, given the holiday weekend, there will be no Family Faith Formation programming or nursery care at this service. Services usually include a time of reflection/prayer/meditation; wonderful music; readings; and a homily or sermon to lend insight into our world and how we interact with it and with each other. The <a href="https://uuwestport.org/mission-statement/about-our-ministers-2/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Rev. Carlton E. Smith</a> presides over our time together that includes participation from multiple congregants, guests, and friends. Music Director&nbsp;<a href="https://uuwestport.org/music-program/our-minister-of-music/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Micah Krajca</a>&nbsp;leads our choirs. Separate children's programming and nursery care is available during the service, 10-11:15AM. Dress code is as you feel comfortable.

Marché Pride Market Returns to Wilton for a Day of Celebration, Community, and Creativity
WILTON, CT — Marché is proud to announce the return of its vibrant Pride Market, taking place on Sunday, May 31st from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Wilton Center.
In collaboration with Wilton Pride and as part of the town-wide Wilton Pride Festival, the Marché Pride Market will transform the street in front of the Wilton Town Green into a lively, open-air marketplace celebrating local talent, inclusivity, and community spirit.
Perfectly positioned between the Wilton Historical Society Food Truck Festival at Schenck’s Island and the festivities on the Town Green, the Pride Market will serve as a vibrant hub connecting the day’s celebrations. Visitors are invited to stroll the street, shop, eat, and soak in the joyful atmosphere that makes Wilton such a special place to gather.
Founded in 2024 by Wilton residents and LGBTQ+ allies Katie Nelson and Kerry Ray, Marché was created to uplift local artists, makers, and small businesses. That mission shines brightly during the Pride Market, where more than 30 talented vendors will showcase handmade, homegrown, and thoughtfully curated goods.
This year’s market welcomes exciting new vendors including Bessie Nails, JC Knits, Lulus Cakes and Bakes, Painted Path Studio, Ooh La Lola, Prince Fae Art, Michaela Wales Art, and The Tinsel Fairy, alongside returning favorites such as Pottery by Safiya, Modern Kem Soap Co., and Abeef Crochet.
“Pride Market is one of our most meaningful events of the year,” say Nelson and Ray. “It’s a celebration of creativity, identity, and community. Therapy, Play, and Animal Interactions for Children with Special Needs

TIME 6-8PM, June 4th. “Piece by Piece”&nbsp;is a striking 6-foot-high by 8-foot-wide collaborative installation inspired by an iconic work of American art. The mural was divided into a grid of 48 individual square panels, each reimagined by a different member of the&nbsp;Artists Collective of Westport. Reveal is at 7PM. Without knowing the identity of the original artwork, each artist received only a printout of a single 12” x 12” section and a blank panel on which to create their own interpretation using any medium they chose. The result is a vibrant and often surprising mosaic of styles, perspectives, and artistic voices — a playful yet powerful celebration of community, creativity, and collaboration. As the individual pieces come together, the larger image is gradually revealed, reminding viewers that every contribution plays a role in the creation of something greater than itself.

 The theme of&nbsp;“American Journeys,”&nbsp;the all-member exhibition presented by the&nbsp;Artists Collective of Westport, was inspired by this year’s national commemoration of America’s 250th birthday. The title reflects the idea that there is no single American journey, but rather a tapestry of countless personal paths, experiences, struggles, and triumphs that together define the American story. More than 60 members of the Collective contributed work to the exhibition, offering a rich diversity of artistic expression and interpretation. All works are available for purchase and are on view in the Sheffer and South Galleries at the&nbsp;Westport Library. 
Both exhibits open on June 4 from 6 to 8pm, with the unveiling of Piece by Piece at 7p

UCC Southbury invites the community to join them for the 50th Annual Southbury Strawberry Festival on the spacious Church Green, located at 283 Main Street North, in Southbury, CT, to be held on Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (rain or shine).
There will be fresh strawberry shortcakes with homemade whipped cream, live music by Band o’ Brothers, Nick Depuy and Adelaide Punkin, assorted baked goods, grilled foods and Food Trucks including Cousins Maine Lobster and Red Apple Catering with Ben &amp; Jerry’s Ice Cream on hand. Also featuring raffle prizes, Kids Zone bouncy house, games and activities, and 40 different vendors and artisans for interested shoppers.

<a href="https://ridgefieldpride.org/pride-in-the-park/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Ridgefield’s seventh annual Pride in the Park</a> celebration will take place on SATURDAY, JUNE 6 from 12 - 3 pm in Ballard Park, Ridgefield (Rain location: Yanity Gym) with a parade around the park starting at 1pm. &nbsp; Ridgefield Pride in the Park is a free event, open to the public and catering to families, with a variety of activities, crafts, entertainment and informational tables for all ages.&nbsp;&nbsp;



In addition to <a href="https://ridgefieldpride.org/pride-in-the-park/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Pride in the Park</a>, there will be a multitude of celebratory Pride events and Pride Promotions throughout May, June and July with something for everyone, from our tiniest tots to our seniors. Donate your redeemable cans and bottles to the Wilton High School Band in the WHS Board of Education parking lot by the Catalpa Rd. entrance, where student volunteers will receive and sort your recyclables.
