Wilton Builder Wins Two Industry Awards

On Wednesday November 14^th, the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Connecticut presented Wilton based Cannondale Building & Design with HOBI Awards for Outstanding Residential Remodel $100,000-250,000 and Best Remodeled Kitchen.  A panel of four remodeling industry judges pointed to the value Cannondale was able to offer their clients by providing superior craftsmanship at a reasonable cost.

In New Fairfield, the firm renovated and updated a 5,500 square foot 1970’s contemporary home, replacing the roof, mahogany deck and plumbing fixtures, replacing or repairing the expansive Andersen windows, trim and interior finishes, and installing a new back up generator and alarm system for a project cost of $189,000.

Cannondale was honored with a second HOBI Award for a home in Redding in which they demolished an existing kitchen and installed a new one with leather granite counters, raised panel cabinetry and a hall pantry and bake center for under $100,000.

Cannondale Building & Design partners Andrew and Diane LaSala literally bring the design build process under one roof. For the past 25 years, the firm has operated out of their offices on Ruscoe Road, with Andrew LaSala as the construction side of the business and Diane LaSala overseeing the design. Cannondale specializes in custom homes, whole house remodeling, antique home restorations and project management in both Fairfield and Westchester Counties.

Building Hope Foundation Philanthropist of the Year Award

Andrew LaSala is a firm believer in giving back to the community. As a Past President of the Fairfield County Hone Builders & Remodelers Association (HBRA), he was instrumental in the creation of the Building Hope Foundation, a not-for-profit organization set up by HBRA to provide housing assistance for those in need in Fairfield County.

On December 5, 2012, Andrew LaSala and Steve Berko, his partner in the construction management company, Summerview Development Group, were presented with the Fairfield County HBRA Building Hope FoundationPhilanthropist of the Year Award.

“This award recognizes the extraordinary contribution Andrew LaSala and Steve Berko made in donating their time and labor as project and construction managers for the renovation of the Marine Corp. League building in Ridgefield,” said Building Hope Foundation President, Mary Boudreau.
