Barn Fire Guts Ridgefield Road Structure
Adjacent house suffers no damage but connected barn structure is left charred.
The second fire in Wilton of the holiday weekend engulfed a barn connected to a home at 522 Ridgefield Road.
The fire fully engulfed the aged barn but was extinguished quickly after being reported early Monday evening. At 7 p.m. firefighters were working on the first and second levels of the charred and smoldering structure. Traffic was passing slowly along Route 33 northbound but traffic headed southbound was being diverted around the area.
