Brown Sabbath (Tribute Band for You Know Who) Plays in Fairfield on Thursday

There’s an awful lot of interplay between funk and metal - a sweet spot perfectly occupied by the Austin Texas based Brown Sabbath.

An alter-ego cover band concocted by the band Brownout, Brown Sabbath is a brilliantly executed tribute to Black Sabbath; fat, loud, and just the right amount of irreverent. Black Sabbaths material is interpreted and taken in all different directions.

A high octane Latin leaning rendition of The Wizard, a deep pocket Iron Man, a dubbed out Hand Of Doom. Brown Sabbath plays on the thick wall of sound that characterizes both Metal and Funk and turns it into something strange and fascinating.
