The Glass House

Enjoy a rare opportunity to explore The Glass House and its grounds during the&nbsp;Golden Hour.&nbsp;This special two-hour guided tour offers a&nbsp;golden-hour experience&nbsp;of the site and its many distinct architectural landmarks. In addition, see how the&nbsp;lighting design by Richard Kelly&nbsp;– a pioneer and master of modern architectural lighting and a collaborator with Philip Johnson and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe –&nbsp;transforms the Glass House&nbsp;as the sun sinks in the sky.
This tour runs&nbsp;two hours&nbsp;in duration and is formulated to facilitate&nbsp;photography for personal use.&nbsp;It includes access to the Glass House, Brick House, Painting Gallery, Sculpture Gallery, and Da Monsta, with a&nbsp;three-quarter mile walk over paved, grass, and gravel paths.

This tour runs&nbsp;rain or shine.&nbsp;All&nbsp;ticket sales are final.&nbsp;No refunds will be issued, but tickets may be transferred to another date or program.
All&nbsp;tours depart from the Glass House Visitor Center + Design Store&nbsp;located at 199 Elm Street, New Canaan, CT 06840. Visitors are transported to the site in a shuttle which departs promptly.

Marché Pride Market Returns to Wilton for a Day of Celebration, Community, and Creativity
WILTON, CT — Marché is proud to announce the return of its vibrant Pride Market, taking place on Sunday, May 31st from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Wilton Center.
In collaboration with Wilton Pride and as part of the town-wide Wilton Pride Festival, the Marché Pride Market will transform the street in front of the Wilton Town Green into a lively, open-air marketplace celebrating local talent, inclusivity, and community spirit.
Perfectly positioned between the Wilton Historical Society Food Truck Festival at Schenck’s Island and the festivities on the Town Green, the Pride Market will serve as a vibrant hub connecting the day’s celebrations. Visitors are invited to stroll the street, shop, eat, and soak in the joyful atmosphere that makes Wilton such a special place to gather.
Founded in 2024 by Wilton residents and LGBTQ+ allies Katie Nelson and Kerry Ray, Marché was created to uplift local artists, makers, and small businesses. That mission shines brightly during the Pride Market, where more than 30 talented vendors will showcase handmade, homegrown, and thoughtfully curated goods.
This year’s market welcomes exciting new vendors including Bessie Nails, JC Knits, Lulus Cakes and Bakes, Painted Path Studio, Ooh La Lola, Prince Fae Art, Michaela Wales Art, and The Tinsel Fairy, alongside returning favorites such as Pottery by Safiya, Modern Kem Soap Co., and Abeef Crochet.
“Pride Market is one of our most meaningful events of the year,” say Nelson and Ray. “It’s a celebration of creativity, identity, and community. We are proud to partner with Wilton Pride and to be part of a town that continues to foster a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for the LGBTQ+ community.”

The United Church of Christ Southbury

UCC Southbury invites the community to join them for the 50th Annual Southbury Strawberry Festival on the spacious Church Green, located at 283 Main Street North, in Southbury, CT, to be held on Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (rain or shine).
There will be fresh strawberry shortcakes with homemade whipped cream, live music by Band o’ Brothers, Nick Depuy and Adelaide Punkin, assorted baked goods, grilled foods and Food Trucks including Cousins Maine Lobster and Red Apple Catering with Ben &amp; Jerry’s Ice Cream on hand. Also featuring raffle prizes, Kids Zone bouncy house, games and activities, and 40 different vendors and artisans for interested shoppers.

<a href="https://ridgefieldpride.org/pride-in-the-park/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Ridgefield’s seventh annual Pride in the Park</a> celebration will take place on SATURDAY, JUNE 6 from 12 - 3 pm in Ballard Park, Ridgefield (Rain location: Yanity Gym) with a parade around the park starting at 1pm. &nbsp; Ridgefield Pride in the Park is a free event, open to the public and catering to families, with a variety of activities, crafts, entertainment and informational tables for all ages.&nbsp;&nbsp;



In addition to <a href="https://ridgefieldpride.org/pride-in-the-park/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Pride in the Park</a>, there will be a multitude of celebratory Pride events and Pride Promotions throughout May, June and July with something for everyone, from our tiniest tots to our seniors. Donate your redeemable cans and bottles to the Wilton High School Band in the WHS Board of Education parking lot by the Catalpa Rd. entrance, where student volunteers will receive and sort your recyclables. We accept plastic/aluminum cans and bottles labeled CT or CTRV, as well as glass bottles (please see<a href="https://portal.ct.gov/-/media/deep/reduce_reuse_recycle/bottles/bottle-bill-communication-122022-final.pdf" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> this link</a> if you are unsure).
